About Julie
Experienced
With a passion for the wellbeing of our community, Julie offers experience - having served on the Crystal City Council from 2010-2020.
During her time on the Council she proved herself to be a passionate leader in our community focused on responsible spending, transparent community engagement, and a passion for common-sense redevelopment and investment.
As mayor, she will continue her work on these initiatives and more.
Dedicated
Julie has demonstrated dedication to public service throughout her life volunteering both currently and previously on numerous community initiatives. Examples are Quad Communities Beyond the Yellow Ribbon, planning the annual Crystal Airport Open House Father’s Day Fly In, Crystal Lions Club, Crystal/New Hope Rotary, lifetime Auxiliary member for Charles Knaeble-Crystal VFW, Frolics Committee, Crystal Park & Rec Liaison, and Planning Commission Liaison, to name a few.
Focused
Julie’s focus as Mayor will be working towards common-sense spending, continuing the push for more transparent community engagement, and working with businesses to clean up our streetscape appearance so other family-friendly type businesses might want to make Crystal home too.
Other focus areas will be the push to continue upgrading our parks & continue to offer youth opportunities, maintaining and improving public safety by education, promoting more get to know your neighbor type gatherings, and communication between our Police/Fire/EMS with the residents.
Julie will always be accessible and willing to listen and engage residents to work together to keep Crystal a welcome and safe community for all.
